My apartment is haunted. Last night the air conditioner started beeping uncontrollably, switching on/off and changing settings. We would turn it off, take it apart, and even cut off the electricity. The beeping would stop momentarily and as we cozied back into bed, start up again. The Taiwanese believe that it’s dangerous to live on the fourth floor because the sound for “four” and “death” is the same but with a tonal difference. I live in apartment 4 on the 14th floor. Andrew chose to remind me of this at 4 a.m. Hmmm.It could have just been faulty wiring.
