Health Care Abroad: Taiwan →
Fortunately, I still haven’t had had to swipe my health card, but it is reassuring to know that the only thing that will block my access to medical care (teeth cleanings included) is my own laziness.
I experienced my second earthquake ever, while I was watching 2012. Earthquakes and tsunamis had already decimated the majority of the world’s population, when the 10-story building I was in began to move. I wasn’t able to properly appreciate the coolness of the experience until after I stopped thinking about how well they reinforce movie theater ceilings.
I’m alive. The license has arrived, so tomorrow (finally!) we are heading out to see snow! I’m not expecting much, but I haven’t seen any in over a year now, and I am psyched.
December! You wouldn’t believe it when you imagine Taiwan, but I’m freezing my bum off here. I’m in love, rested and earning enough to buy gifts for friends. Despite the horribly depressing lack of family, I think there’s hope for Christmas.
